(This is a partial list of the Georgia Bass-n-Tubes Rules. A complete rules booklet is issued upon entrance into the club.)
1. All tournament fishing must be conducted from a float tube or kick boat (inflateable pontoon boat). Anglers may not fish outside of their water craft for any reason. Anglers must be floating in their water craft while fishing.
- Violation of this rule will result in disqualification.
2. Minimum size length for bass is twelve (12) inches or that set by the lake regulations if over 12 inchs. Length must be verifiable with Will-E-Go Board.
- Attempting to weigh-in undersized fish will result in loss of individual fish and 0.5 lb penalty per undersized fish.
3. Members of the bass family only (largemouth, spotted, smallmouth) may be weighed-in.
4. Creel limit for each tournament is five (5) fish; No angler may have in his or her possession more than 5 fish at any one time unless in the process of actively culling a limit in tournaments.
- Violation of this rule will result in the anglers limit being culled, starting with the largest fish and working down until a five (5) fish limit is reached. Tournament Director will oversee culling of all limits.
5. All live bass must be released during tournaments with the exception of trophy fish of five pounds or better kept for mounting purposes.
- A penalty of 0.25 lb per dead fish will be assessed regardless of the size of the fish. Trophy bass alive at weigh-in may be kept for mounting purposes without penalty.
6. All tournament angling must be done using only artificial lures. The use of live, dead, or cut bait is prohibited during tournaments.
- Violation of this rule will result in disqualification.
7. All anglers must possess a valid Georgia fishing license and must have it displayed as required by law.
- Violation of this rule will result in disqualification.
8. All bass shall be kept in a livewell. Livewells must meet or exceed the following dimensions: 19-inch diameter, 30-inch height. Homemade livewells must be pre-approved by the Tournament Director.
9. Only fins may power watercraft. Use of oars, motors, sails, etc. is prohibited.
- Violation of this rule will result in disqualification.
10. Meetings will be held immediately following each tournament.
11. Anglers may portage their water craft through the use of automobiles, trucks, etc. However, while on the water, they may travel only by the individuals fin power or by naturally occurring currents or wind. Anglers may not accept assistance from boats or other anglers to move about the body of water.
- Violation of this rule will result in disqualification.
12. The use of alcohol and/or non-medical drugs during tournaments is prohibited.
- Violation of this rule will result in disqualification.
13. Anglers must be within the specified area of the weigh-in site by the official weigh-in time. Lateness for weigh-in will be penalized at the rate of 0.50 lb per minute. Lateness of more than fifteen minutes will result in disqualification.
- Penalty will be assessed first until the entire penalty is assessed or the angler is penalized to an overall weight of 0 (zero) lbs.
14. Participants may not prefish body of water scheduled for next tournament after midnight of the Monday immediately preceding the tournament. This rule does not apply to non-club tournaments.
- Violation of this rule will result in disqualification.
15. The Tournament Director is responsible for the fair and impartial application of the rules. The decisions of the Tournament Director are final. In the event that an interpretation of the rules is necessary, the Tournament Director may, at his or her discretion, take a vote of the club officers or club members.
16. Anglers wishing to portage their craft to other spots on the body of water being fished must report to the kick-off site in person and check in with the tournament director prior to kick-off. At the tournaments end, anglers that portaged to other sites must be at the kick-off site by the designated time. (see rule 13 for penalty).
17. In order to participate in any tournament and to be eligible for prizes and/or points, anglers must pay their entry fees at the established meeting time, or after checking in with a club officer before the tournament if a late arrival (but prior to kick-off). Those who have not paid their entry fees are ineligible for either prizes or points, regardless of their weigh-in results.
18. All club offices will filled by voting on candidates. Each club member is allowed one (1) vote per club office being filled.
19. No person shall hold more than one (1) office per calender year.

20. BASS Affiliation Requirements:
A. Membership

a. The chapter shall begin with and maintain at least six members
2. Requirement for Regular Membership To become a chapter member, a person shall:
a. Voluntarily express a genuine interest in membership
b. Be a member of BASS
c. Be recommended by two members at a regular monthly meeting
d. Be voted on by membership. Vote shall be by secret ballot and affirmation must be unanimous.
e. Be 16 years of age
3. Requirements for Junior Membership* To become a junior member of an adult chapter, a person shall:
a. Voluntarily express a genuine interest in membership
b. Be under 16 years of age
*Junior members are not required to pay national membership dues and are not entitled to the benefits of a regular member. The acceptance of junior members will not affect a clubs liability insurance policy. Junior members are not covered by the accidental death and dismemberment policy. Junior members may not hold office in an adult club nor may they be voting members. At age 16 junior members may continue membership by joining the club as a regular member. Junior membership ceases on a persons 16th birthday
4. Membership Dues
The membership dues shall be *$35 annually, initially payable upon being voted into the chapter, $15 of which shall be for the National Federation dues and $20 of which shall be for chapter dues. BASS membership dues are also required at the current rate if not already a member of BASS.
*Dues will be $25 annually if Calhoun Kickboat Bass Club is not affiliated with B.A.S.S.
5. Meetings of Members

a. Approval of Chapter Charter by BASS
b. Update BASS with a chapter membership roster once each year upon receipt of current BASS roster at years end.
c. Names and addresses of new members joining the chapter during the year must be submitted to BASS as they occur.
d. Maintain 100% BASS membership
Must affiliate with State Federation and support its conservation and youth programs. Any additional requirements that the State Federation establishes for chapters, such as membership, dues, attendance at meetings, etc., would be necessary for the chapter to participate in the State Federation qualifying tournament(s), and any other Federation-sponsored tournaments or events

Any changes, additions, or deletions to these rules will be determined by a majority vote of participating anglers.
